and so it goes 'bout that time again gotta take a deep breath and look within peel off and shed my skin maybe i'll go make new friends maybe i'll make my amends while i still got time to spend tie off all my loose ends it's high time my new life begins and so it went back to the time i spent living in the past thinkin' 'bout moments that i could have redone or i should resent maybe this starts my descent maybe i should go reinvent before things get too intense think about what i represent it's time i come clean, i shall repent i'm movin' up i'm movin' on i'm movin' out of where i've come from i'm shiftin' gears i'm changin' hands brave new frontiers and become my own man see I've been waiting tables where the people keep enabling me leavin' me their tips but i won't let them eclipse what i got in store for me and for you so there i was standin' at a crossroads waitin' beatin' myself up debatin' should i listen to the angel or satan someone tell me which paths worth takin' a voice screams out "be patient" the other offers up temptation it's easy to succumb to flirtation but i can't go on livin' a life of damnation i'm movin' up i'm movin' on i'm movin' out of where i've come from i'm shiftin' gears i'm changin' hands brave new frontiers and become my own man

sometimes i get so frustrated sometimes i feel under-appreciated but deep down i know i've got the strength and i'll make it someday i'm on my way sometimes i act not quite my age and sometimes i feel as though i'm trapped in a cage but deep down i know that i'll learn from my mistakes i'll be okay i'm on my way to the top, i won't be stopped i won't regret a thing, as long as i can sing i won't forget you all, the one that i can call my friends and family sometimes i think way too much and sometimes i feel completely out of touch but deep down i know when enough is enough ya I can say i'm on my way sometimes it all can be a bit too confusing sometimes i don't feel like being amusing but deep down i know with your help i'll get through things unscathed i'm on my way to the top, i won't be stopped i won't regret a thing, as long as i can sing i won't forget you all, the ones that i can call my friends and family sometimes i get so frustrated sometimes i feel under-appreciated but deep down i know i've got the strength and i'll make it someday i'm on my way to the top, i won't be stopped i won't regret a thing, as long as i can sing i won't forget you all, the ones that i can call my friends and family my friends and family i won't forget you all, the ones that i can call my friends and family!
